How do you see yourself? You need to see yourself the way God sees you. You have to say about yourself what the Word of God says about you. Your self-image is a picture of how you see yourself. That picture can be positive or negative. You will never rise above the image you have of yourself. You can’t see yourself defeated and walk in victory. You can’t see yourself as a failure and live in success. You can’t see yourself as a loser and act like a winner. Paint a positive self- image of yourself. God’s Word says that you are more than a conqueror, you are victorious, you are blessed and highly favored, you can do all things through Christ, and you are fearfully and wonderfully made.
Think positive things about yourself. This verse lets us know that whatever we think about ourselves is what we will become. You need to see yourself as the actual person you want to be, not as you are. See yourself accomplishing great things for the Lord. Even if no one else sees it for you, see it for yourself. Even if no one believes in you, believe in yourself. We have to see ourselves where we want to be in life long before it actually happens. You have to be able to see it and believe it even when there is no evidence of it around you. You have to put your imagination to work. Don’t look at who you are right now, but who you are going to become in the future.
Prayer: Lord God, I thank you that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I pray that you will help me to see myself the way you see me. It is in Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
