FEAR: False Evidence Appearing Real. Fear Not is in the Bible 365 times. That is one time for each day of the year. God says to Fear Not. Do you think God says to fear not for no reason? No, God tells us to fear not because He did not give us a spirit of fear according to 2 Timothy 1:7.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
Fear is from the devil, and if we accept it when he offers it, it is our own fault. God did not give us a spirit of fear, but He did give us power, love, and a sound mind. Fear will stop you in your tracks, and keep you from making progress in life.
God has His angels around us each and every day. He talks about this in His Word in Psalm 91. That is another reason God says Fear Not. There is no need to fear. Why should we fear when God is on our side? The God of the Universe is for us. Fear Not! There is nothing to fear. When fear comes knocking on your door, just answer and say, “NO FEAR HERE.” The devil uses fear to intimidate us, and to stop us from accomplishing God’s will for our lives. Don’t be afraid to step out in faith and do what God is leading you to do. Don’t be afraid to try new things. Fear is the opposite of faith. You can’t fear and have faith at the same time. You can’t fear and activate your faith by speaking God’s Word over situations in your life. Fear Not!
Prayer: Lord God, I ask you to help me to walk in faith, not fear, and step out and do what I need to do to fulfill the call you have on my life. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
